I want to reimagine the place of and space for Black and Indigenous women in society.

In my dreams, we live in a world in which these women are not only leaders, but in which they are the standard bearers. In these pieces, the Black female body is centered and central; she is agent and subject, thinker and thought. In this work, I am building this world, where these women take up space in their own imaginations and in the minds of others
